David Michael White was born in 1949 in Ripon, Yorkshire, England.

Education: 1959-67 George Heriot’s School, Edinburgh

1975-77 Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Leeds Polytechnic

1978-85 BA Fine Art (Printmaking), Glasgow School of Art, 1st. class + prizes for

dissertation and for sculpture

Professional experience: 1973-74 assistant landscape architect, Vienna

1975-77 painter in Holland, Belgium, and Scandanavia, doing casual work

for support

1986-88 garden construction, Wiesbaden, Germany

1989-92 commercial fisherman, Hornafjordur, Iceland

1993-98 commercial fisherman, Castletownbere, Ireland.

1998-2005 self-employed gardener, Bath, England

2006-8 fisherman, Castletownbere

2009-14 self-employed gardener, Brittas Bay, Co. Wicklow, Ireland

2014-present painter, Chateauponsac, France
